Sue and her New Zealand programmer, Phil Leighs, have developed an amazing tool for us to use. In many cases it is possible to quickly trace pedigrees back to the 1900s. Although there is still a some back data to accumulate, recent hip and eye tests published in KC breed record supplements are there and the reports are easy to use and clearly presented. There are fields for what owners do with their dogs, photos, sibling and progeny reports at the click of a mouse, with "Advanced Search" if you need specific "fields" such as colour, or any of 26 other "fields" in your filtered report. You can choose how much information you want to input, but go back and add other photos, health tests or competition/show results at any time. Well done Sue, we have already found it very useful, but have to watch as it is very addictive. Richard, Surrey
I agree. The data base is a fantastic tool. I am finding it fascinating, looking at dogs of days gone by and seeing what they produced and who the were mated too, and seeing what they did in the ring and in the field, as well as the odd photo or two. Well done to Sue and Leighs for this brilliant data base. Mandy, Leicestershire
Having just discovered your Flatcoatdata database and having logged on to it ,can I say how much I am enjoying using it. It's great being able to see pedigree's etc. of dogs I remember and some who have just been names to me before. I've also really enjoyed adding our dogs to the database and feel that if we decide to have another litter in the future it will be very useful to see at a glance details of dogs we may want to consider as a stud dog, especially on health, eyes, hips, longevity. Thank you! Jenny, France
